 About our Chickens

We currently have several pens with a variety of chicks available, including a mix of thoughtfully planned crosses as well as a few pure breeds to start. As a growing homestead, we are continually adding new enclosures with the goal of producing a wide range of colorful eggs—both fresh eggs for enjoyment and eggs we carefully select for breeding our next generation of fluffy little ones.

While we continue working toward expanding our purebred offerings, we’ve found that mixed breeds often produce some of the most stunning birds. These unique combinations bring beautiful feather patterns, sweet personalities, and one of our favorite parts of all—a fun little egg surprise when they reach laying age, because sometimes the most beautiful eggs come with a little bit of mystery 😃

Egg color, size, and laying age may vary based on genetics and individual birds. Chicks will be straight run only. 

Here is a description of our set up to give you a whimsical picture of what we will offer in February to start:

(Variety pen #1) Hens are ~

Chocolate Orpington, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, Black American Bresse, Ameraucana.. covered by our roos ~ Chocolate Orpington, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, Ameraucana.

(Variety pen # 2) hens are ~

Various mixes, Welsummer, Easter Egger, Frizzle Turken, Zombie mix, Silver Laced Wyandotte, covered by our roos ~ Silver Laced Wyandotte, Jubilee Orpington, Ermine Ameraucana, Black Ameraucana. 

Satin Silkie mixed pen hens are ~

Turken mix, Chocolate Silkie, Splash Silkie, Legbar mix, covered by our roos~ Silkie Cochin mix, 2 Frizzle Bantams.

Polish Variety pen hens are ~

White Crested Blue Polish, Tolbunt Polish covered by our roos ~ White Crested Blue polish, Black Crested Black Polish, Tolbunt Polish. As of now there's a possibility of polish mixes OR pure breeds in this pen.

Marans pen hens are ~ Golden Cuckoo, Blue Copper, Black Copper covered by our marans roos ~ Splash & Blue copper.

We will also have pure bred White Leghorn and Ayam Cemani chicks.

** Please note that Ayam Cemanis (because of the chance of leakage) will be sold for pet quality or to be bred for popular mixes such as Zombie chickens etc. 

We have Calico Cochin Bantam pullets and cockerals available.

More pure breeds will become available in a few weeks.

We've consistently been testing fertility through incubation and will continue to do so. We don't plan to offer hatching eggs at this time. Please keep in mind that hatch rates aren't always guaranteed 100%.

We want our customers to be satisfied and excited about our little fluffies that we have to offer. Our goal is to provide healthy birds that owners will be proud of!
